Ryan M. Brady

Artist/Writer/Creator

I never set out to be a independent comic book publisher, I just wanted to make comics.

Now 13 years later, I'm the creator of three independent comic books: The Bolt, Anomaly, and Skull Boy. Comic books all written, penciled, and inked by me. No team. No AI. Just me and my passion for comic books.

I was born and raised in Philly, a few blocks from Ontario St. Comics.

I developed a huge love of comic books and superheroes early. Characters like Batman and Superman, Spider-man and Captain America really meant something to me (and still do.)

I graduated from Rutgers-Camden in 2011. It was during my time in Camden that I created the first issues of The Bolt and Anomaly. I enjoyed the process of making my own comics so much that in 2013, Camden's Comics was formed and I attended my first con. Since then, I have created twenty issues, over 300 pages penciled and inked. I have taught all-ages comic book workshops across libraries for the past decade. I love sharing my passion for comics and hope to inspire the next generation to create their own characters and stories.

My work has been featured in the Courier-Post, Philadelphia Inquirer and on WHYY.

In July 2026, Camden's Comics will appear for the first time at San Diego Comic Con, a huge milestone for a comic book geek.
